Crazy roundabout via Digg

As if the modern roundabout could not get more confusing. This variation has an amateur lane of traffic going around the outer edge of the roundabout while the pro lane goes around in the opposite direction following the inner lanes.

Dr. Robert Ballard to give Black Sea updates

Immersion Presents, a science-education program founded by Ballard, will produce a series of 15-minute updates daily at noon on the Web from Aug. 18 to 26. They will feature an introduction by Ballard, live updates from Bridget Buxton, assistant professor of history at URI and the expedition’s archaeology director, and Katherine Croff, a doctoral student at URI and chief scientist on the cruise, and an e-mail question-and-answer session.

Technorama interviewed Tom Dudchik from Immersion Presents in 2006. Look for an upcoming interview with Dr. Robert Ballard!

Technorama listed as Parsec Awards finalist

We are both honored and humbled to have Technorama submitted, then nominated for the Parsec Awards. Now we have made it as a finalist in two categories!

There is a lot of great competition in those categories and we wish everyone the best. There is no voting, there is only an independent panel of judges who will quietly select the winners and announce them at Dragon*Con in a few weeks. Keep your fingers cross, roll those 12 sided die, or whatever you do for good juju on Technorama.

Branded with Science via Digg
