Star Trek Wrath of Khan: The Opera

via Mixx

When people call it “space opera”, I don’t think this is what they meant.

Klingon Language Keyboard

Klingon Language Keyboard via Boing Boing

Now when you write your great American novel, you can honestly say that it’s better in the original Klingon.

And because it is soooo futuristic, it comes with a PS/2 interface. So dig up that USB adapter out of the trash and sign up for this limited edition, soon-to-be classic.

P.S. does anyone have a Klingon spell check plugin for Word?

Freezing Bubbles

Freezing soap bubble

Now this is the kind of photography I could really get into. If bubbles would freeze in mid-air where I live that is.

Sennheiser HDR 110

Sennheiser HDR 110 At the moment I am sitting in bed with the laptop watching TV and listening to the audio on a new set of Sennheiser HDR 110 wireless headphones.

My team at work gave me a $30 gift card to Circuit City for Christmas. With another $40 I picked up the headphones and set them up in the bedroom in a matter of minutes. Originally I was using the headphone jack to send the audio to the transmitter, however that required I get up and plug in the jack. That’s no fun. I found a set of RCA jacks on the back of the TV that continue to operate independent of the speaker system – meaning I can mute the speakers and continue to broadcast to the headphones. That’s what I want!

The HDR 110 headphones are comfortable, but a little bulky. They are a large set of “on ear” headphones. Taking two AAA batteries the phones have an on/off switch on one side and volume and tuner on the other. I roamed around the house and never had any problem with reception. I have to admit that I’m pleased with headphones so far. Now I can continue to watch (and listen) to TV after Donna falls asleep. Thanks team!
