Like the classic B.C. comic strip, this t-shirt shows the possibilities of the AT-AT if it is given a few million years to evolve. That is, if its potential is not hindered by the Imperial canon fodder carried inside.

I think that this is a wonderful idea. NASA and space exploration in gerneral needs more of a face, or champion that can bring attention to it.
The times I have heard Sagan speak on TV he always caused me to think…what are the possibilities? Is there live out there, are we alone? …and I think that is something that we need to energize younger minds.
NASA Looking for New Sagan : Slice of SciFi
In an effort to find the next Carl Sagan, someone who can not only inspire the next generation of space scientists but also make the discipline more popular again, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is creating the Carl Sagan Postdoctoral Fellowships in Exoplanet Exploration.
Since we are in the midst of our Star Trek Experience Audio Tour on Technorama, and the Experience recently closed, I thought you guys would be interested in sharing this.
April Hebert, our tour guide for the Behind the Scenes tour was honored at the decommissioning of the Star Trek Experience for being the longest active crew member.
Saying Goodbye To Star Trek The Experience – Decommissioning Report + Video + Pics | TrekMovie.com
The roll call of names and introductions ended with a special name. April Hebert, who was the first cast member to be assigned to Star Trek: Experience, came out, still in character as a Vulcan (Hebert has portrayed multiple roles at STTE, including Starfleet and an Andorian). As the longest active crewmember, Hebert was presented a very special gift, the official flag of the United Federation of Planets that has hung proudly in front on the main entrance from the first day of service. The moment resulted in a five minute standing ovation.
This snippet from a documentary will shatter your last remaining illusion of Darth Vader. David Prowse was the actor behind Darth Vader’s mask. And, he spoke every line of dialogue in the script although his voice was never used in the final version of the film. After listening to this, I don’t think I can watch the original trilogy again in quite the same way.
Yet another video I found through Wonderflonium.com. This one has got me scratching my head. I don’t recall anyone producing a motion comic of Watchmen. But, if you’ve read the book, you’ve got to watch this clip. Oh, and if you know where the source video came from, leave a comment. I’d like to see if they made the whole mini-series into a motion comic. The Youtube page didn’t link anywhere.
While Chuck and I were in Last Vegas for the New Media Expo 2008, we knew that we had to make a special stop while we were there..The Star Trek Experience.
For 10 years The Star Trek Experience located at the Las Vegas Hilton has been captivating trekkers/trekkies with an immersive world that literally drops you from one reality into another walking down corridors and right onto the bridge of the enterprise. Well the time has come for it to move along, but before that happened Chuck and I had the opportunity to take the ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour and take you along with us.
This is part 1 of a 2 part series where we talk to April Hebert, a tour guide with the Star Trek Experience who has been there from the beginning, and we talk about the History of the attraction and how it all works.

Not entirely sure how I got there, but I found this on Wonderflonium.com. It’s nice to finally see what everyone was twittering about the other day. Felicia certainly has a sweet singing voice, gotta remember to get the soundtrack when it comes out.
Oh, and congratulations to @encaf1 for his Parsec Award.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this story was an RPG video game from my childhood. Lunar: The Silver Star had a wise cracking flying cat as the sidekick to the hero of the game. I looked up the game on Wikipedia and remembered that the flying cat, Nall, was actually a baby dragon. So, maybe the Chinese winged cat will keep growing into a dragon.

Chuck and I had the pleasure of visiting The Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton during the New Media Expo 2008. We had a great tour guide, and fantastic audio of the History of the experience and Behind the Scenes information that you won’t get anywhere else!

Let me pull back the curtain for just a bit and show our listeners how Technorama typically conducts interviews.
It starts off well enough in the beginning. Chuck asks some background questions and slips in some geeky anecdotes…
Once Chuck pulls out his Picard impersonation, it’s all downhill from there…
Luckily Kreg is standing by and jumps into the melee…
Unfortunately, the battle plays out EXACTLY the way you’d expect.
