While Chuck and I were in Last Vegas for the New Media Expo 2008, we knew that we had to make a special stop while we were there..The Star Trek Experience.
For 10 years The Star Trek Experience located at the Las Vegas Hilton has been captivating trekkers/trekkies with an immersive world that literally drops you from one reality into another walking down corridors and right onto the bridge of the enterprise. Well the time has come for it to move along, but before that happened Chuck and I had the opportunity to take the ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour and take you along with us.
This is part 2 of a 2 part series where we talk to April Hebert, a tour guide with the Star Trek Experience who has been there from the beginning, and we talk about the History of the attraction and how it all works.
Episodes in Series: Part 1 | Part 2
- My Pictures from the Star Trek Experience
- Brad P from N.J.‘s Panoramic of the entrance

Really enjoyed this. Brings back some great memories of the times we visited the Experience. Thanks for making a record of this.
Ms. Hebert,
I REALLY think that you should write a book about your memories, preferably a large sized coffee table book. Someone must chronicle the history of that place and you seem to be the most qualified person to do it. Peace and long life.
April I fell in love with you the moment I met you in Dec 2007 but you must get that all the time. Yes you should write a book on your “experience” with the Experience.
Take care April you are a Doll.
Consider this another vote for the book, April. I’d sure as heck buy it. 🙂
I’d buy a book from you “April”. That would be great to have someone as yourself chronicle STTE. That a great Idea.
My favorite STTE came a couple of years ago. My group had all gotten combo tickets, but most of us had seen the first show years ago. After going through Borg Encounter, we went back for Klingon Encounter.
Several of us were adding bits of dialog to the show. When we were leaving the bridge, I commented to someone that those Starfleet officers seemed to be getting younger all the time. The ensign on the NAV console immediately bounced up and said:
Sir: We are ALL of LEGAL AGE for STARFLEET.
It was a perfect! A sublime comment on the most surreal stages in all of Vegas.
Never mind the SFX; those actors made the show.
I wish I’d gone to BlogWorld so I could have seen it one more time…
