Mythbusters to Test Cockroach Radiation Myth

Mythbusters to Test Cockroach Radiation Myth via /.

I can’t wait to see Adam and Jamie glow in the dark.

“(Viewers) should learn that things don’t glow if exposed to radiation,” she [Michelle Johnson, a technical group manager for the national lab] said. “And they won’t be radioactive after being exposed to radiation.”

You know, that kind of talk doesn’t help to sell the show. Just throw some fluorescent paint on them and they’ll glow.

All I can say is…I think I’ve found my Halloween costume. Now if only it would fit.

I’ve gotta see this thing up close. An $8000, life size (probably), statue of Bumblebee. And an Optimus Prime statue is in the works.

A Mac II Couch and Yoda Origami

Couch crafted from Macintosh II computers via Digg

You know, if one were to count the original price of the Mac II, this couch is really worth over $100k. And for that kind of money, you’d probably want a couch that is a bit more comfortable.

X-Wing Rocket Disintegrates After Launch via /.

The first few seconds of flight look like a scene from the Last Starfighter. And then it broke.

Yoga Origami via Digg

Destroy the scissors we must. And I remember a frog origami design that could actually jump w/ a puff of air applied to it just right. Maybe this Yoda can do somersaults if you make a paper light saber.
