Dr. Pamela Gay is an American astronomer, educator, podcaster, and writer. Best known for her work in astronomical podcasting, she currently works with Fraser Cain in co-hosting Astronomy Cast. In 2002, she received her PhD in Astronomy from the University of Texas, Austin.<\/p>\n

Today, her main affiliation is as a visiting assistant professor of Physics at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. There she teaches introductory physics and astronomy courses.<\/p>\n

She is on the Council for the American Association of Variable Star Observers, as well as its Educational Committee Chair<\/p>\n

We last spoke with Pamela in 2005 when Technorama was first getting started and she hosted a popular podcast called Slacker Astronomy – It’s been three years – we thought it was time to catch up.<\/p>\n
