The buzz today is that Gmail will be integrating Google Talk (GTalk, their IM and VoIP chat program). There is already a “chats” link on the left. The help screen shows a “Quick Contacts” on the left also.
Keep your eyes out! If the feature is implemented in the next day or two you can expect the podcast to be about it this weekend.

I’ve been wondering why I don’t have the same features as listed in the Podcast. Changing the language settings has an effect on your account. Check this link for more details:

Interesting link. I would have thought their code was better at internationalization than that. Heck, even the in-house apps we design these days has to be multi-lingual.
Maybe that’s why it’s still beta?
