They forgot the daughterboards. Some of this stuff takes me back to the old IBM-XT and IBM-AT days and when Apple had first brought out MacIntosh and then trashed Adam and Lisa (how many people remember this little underwhelming number from Apple???). And did anyone ever find out who at Radio Shack thought it was a good idea to bring out the TRS-80 Models 1, 2, and 3 and not have them be compatible with each other??? When they do a history of computer models, let’s hope they don’t forget the Texas Instruments Model 4000 and 9000, plus all the Sega machines before they concentrated on gaming and the Atari machines before they focused on games with the 2600 and all the generic build it yourself kits and parts you could order out of Computer Shopper back in the days when the magazine actually had 200 plus pages and was printed on newspaper stock and was printed in Titusville, Florida, a quaint little town whose major draw these days sits across the Indian River from them (Kennedy Space Center).
