Dr. Millison tells Superman he has failed to discover a defense against Kryptonite but may be able to build a machine that could detect the presence of kryptonite radiation from 100 yards away. Perry White fumes over Clark Kent’s neglect of his duties and hires a new reporter to replace Kent; Henry Miller (the Atom Man).
